Eliska Novotná
Studied at the Conservatoire in Ostrava with Marta Toaderová, and then with Ivan Klansky at the Art Academy in Prague and at the Conservatoire in Lucerne.
She graduated at several national and international competitions.
She regularly plays with the main Czech orchestras and she also has been on international concert tours in Poland, Spain, Austria, Germany and in Switzerland.
At the moment most of her activity is dedicated to chamber music and, as well as playing with Hana Kotková, she is playing in a duo with the cellist Jiri Hanousek and in the “Moravia Ensemble”.
She performs the four-hand repertory and duos for two pianos with her sister Zdena Gazdová, who is a pianist as well. She currently is also teaching at the University in Ostrava.
