Czech Chamber Orchestra
The Czech Chamber Orchestra was formed in 1946.
Today it carries on the tradition of excellence which the legendary Czech conductor Václav Talich and Josef Vlach, founders of the orchestra, set. Its current members are some of the leading instrumentalists and musicians of Czech Republic and the orchestra has established itself as one of this countrys most outstanding chamber orchestras for its high professionalism and sound quality.
The present core of the Czech Chamber Orchestra consists of players that are also members of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Its artistic director is Jana Vlachová, first violinist of the renown Vlach Quartet Prague, its chief conductor is Ondrej Kukal.
Its long and distinguished career saw the Czech Chamber Orchestra performing in Europe, USA and Japan.
It also worked with numerous prominent soloists including Henryk Szerynk, Ivan Moravec, Yehudi Menuhin, Leonid Kogan and others.
